Hawaii Electric Light Co. announced a power interruption on Wednesday due to a tree that fell on HELCO transmission lines near Manuka State Park along Highway 11.
The interruption occured at 8:57 a.m., affecting approximately 1,700 customers.
HELCO switched the circuits at 10:16 a.m. and power was restored to all affected customers. HELCO said personnel would work throughout the day to complete permanent repairs.
One lane was to remain open until the estimated time of completion at 6 p.m.
